"Coming Soon" German Red Pansy/Fee Coturnix Quail Hatching Eggs

German Red Pansy Coturnix Quail are a new line here at South East Game Birds from August 26. These are second generation crosses that initially involved a Range Rooster with German Pansy and Pansy Heterozygous Fee hen. The F1 offspring were compound Heterozygous (1 copy of Extended Brown and 1 copy of Pansy), also known as allelic. This hatch was also sex-linked using the Roux gene as males need to possess two copies of Roux gene to visually express and females only one, resulting in heterozygous (non-visual) Roux Roosters and Hemizygous (visual) Roux hens. Some of the offspring also inherited a copy of the Fee gene. The F1 offspring were then bred together to give us a 12.5% chance of producing either a Red Pansy Rooster or Hen.
